"Let me paint the picture for you: Miss Summer has lost everything - her dreams, her boyfriend, her most prized things - all she has left is your friendship, a fragile thing built on a cup of coffee and a ride home."
"Only The Piano Player": modern murder mystery (NaNoWriMo attempt).
We made it through together, she leaning against me as I played, almost to the end of the second verse, where Melissa's voice faltered, cracked and broke on "Tread softly where I lie / deep down under the snow..."
