I'm not on call this morning. It's a software development morning, not a watch-the-status-board morning.
And then my mailbox fills with half our servers reporting they've not had updates from HQ in the last hour. And the status page, when I check it, is lit up like a Christmas tree with red. Someone is not doing their job, so, as usual, I have to. Those red 'updates aren't happening' warnings are 45 mins old. Why hasn't someone checked 'em?
