Get clued up...

There's been quite a convincing "Britney Spears dead" hoax doing the rounds.

It was found on the following URL:

http://www.cnn.com;2001;showbiz@205.134.190.239/britney/index.html

Note that this is NOT a CNN.com URL. It's actually a page at 205.134.190.239, but with login information: you can specify this within a URL like this:

http://user;password;area@server/index.html

It just looks like a CNN URL. Neat trick, especially if you're not familiar with the login information trick.

Grrrrrrr....

Next door are having their fence replaced. Despite assurances they would only take 20 mins to dig a posthole and drop a post in, so far they've been hammering away, just through the wall from my office, for the last TWO FREAKING HOURS!

Colour me royally pissed off.

Now everyone's seen Andromeda season 2 episode 1, I can voice my one major peeve.

THEY CHANGED THE THEME MUSIC!

Alex Lifeson's wierd guitar 'symphony' was just awesome, and now they've replaced it with some vacuous orchestral theme that could have been written by any wannabe TV incidental music composer, has all the energy of a sedated tortoise and is about as memorable as a piece of elevator muzak.

Change it BACK, damn you!
