Fireworks...
Oct. 28th, 2001 09:37 pmIt's getting close to that odd English custom: Guy Fawkes Night, November 5th, where we celebrate someone failing to blow up Parliament by letting off quantities of fireworks and burning him in effigy.
It is generally accepted that right-thinking people lock their pets inside from the Friday night before, since some folks tend to move their firework party forward.
Our next-door-but-one neighbours decided that THIS Saturday was a good time to have theirs. TWO weekends before. And didn't bother to tell us or anyone else, despite knowing we have cats.
