...briefly!

My new guitar (see earlier posts) arrived from Vienna on Monday (thanks to a friend's mother), and I picked it up today.

Initial impressions? Well, it looks like I expected it to, namely ivory and gold. And beautiful. The neck is slimmer than I expected (which is a plus) and the frets wider and flatter (also a plus) - in fact, better than my Tokai Les Paul, "Lady".

The rest will have to wait - she's with my guitar tech (Jon Haire - a man of quiet brilliance and humility) having a new set of pickups fitted and being generally set up to my liking.

A name? Well - I was toying with one of "Ivory" (partly for the colour and partly because I seem to have started a theme of WWF lady wrestlers' names with my last new acquisition), "Galadriel" (just because...), "Guinevere" (again, no reason), or "Snow Witch" (the previous owner called her "Schneewittchen", which is actually German for Snow White, but the mistranslation is both mine and deliberate).
