You can never go back...
Oct. 31st, 2002 02:13 pm...well, you can, sort of.
I just had to zip down to Cambridge to pick up something for a friend for this weekend's fun (see http://www.ukmgpu.org.uk/). I was struck, driving into town and along the back roads to the shop, just what a large fraction of my adult life I spent there, from walking the 3 miles from Clare to Girton to visit my girlfriend, D&D sessions in Queens, Trinity, Emma, cricket on Parker's Piece...
Memories. And I started wondering, in a very whimsical and entirely non-serious way, what it would cost to rent every room my friends had in Cambridge in, say, 1985, for a weekend, just to do some of things we used to do again the way we used to do 'em.
Daft, I know.
