Anne is having Myth put to sleep as I type. Not really a surprise, since she was about 10 and she's had FIV for at least two years, since before Moonlight died, but she's been getting progressively thinner and eating less (and leaving calling cards in the wrong places) over the past 6 months or so. Anne took her in for tests this morning, and she turned out to have an immune-related bone marrow problem, as well as viral enteritis.
It's testament to her name and nature that I don't have ready access to a photo of her: there's one on my phone which I shall try and get off today. She was the ultimate 'scaredy cat', vanishing behind a chair, out of the room or wherever at the least sign of people, especially visitors. I believe there are people who were convinced we'd made her up, having never met her, but she did exist, and would sneak into our bedroom when it was dark and come beg for attention.
( EDIT: after much cursing technology )
