The Frankenlaptop part the second
Jan. 30th, 2005 09:54 pmLast week, the right hand display hinge on my bits-and-pieces Apple Powerbook G3 Wallstreet went.
This is a common fault on Wallstreets (to the extent that it's documented in loads of places on the net), due to Apple's engineering on it being less than stellar - they're made of a comparatively soft alloy that doesn't stand up well to repeated open/close cycles.
So, with help from Anne,

djbp, we took my 'live' Wallstreet and the debris of my old one...
