When the rail service sucks...
Mar. 6th, 2006 09:59 am....it really sucks.
0720 GNER Peterborough->Kings Cross was 15 mins late.
0734 WAGN Peterborough->Kings Cross semifast was, of course, let go before it, because god forbid anyone should think about the fact that the 0726 slow is ahead of it, so it'll be running on the fast line. Ahead of the delayed 0720. Brilliant, Peterborough station control, just fucking brilliant.
Normally, the 0720 gets in at 0807 or so.
Today, not so much.
0837 when we finally get in.
Normally, I can catch the 0837 from Vauxhall, be in the office at 850.. Today, not so much. Arriving at Vauxhall at 0905 lands me reasonably on time for the 0911 to Queenstown Road.
Delayed till 0913.
Nope, make that cancelled.
And the 0919's 4 mins late. Finally make it into the office at 0935.
Bah.
