James' first trophy
Dec. 3rd, 2006 12:48 pmJames' Sensei co-runs several of the Peterborough area tournaments, and given James' class has several younger kids keen on sparring, they added a (and I quote) "Super PeeWees" category to the 'Battle of Peterborough' today.
Four participants, James, Miles, Maddy and Jasmine, of whom Jasmine's actually good enough to participate in the next grade up, and has been doing it a year longer than he has. Straight knockout tournament, in which Maddy beat Miles, and James edged Jasmine 10-9, before beating Maddy (despite being behind) in the final.
Boy, was /he/ pleased :)
