I suspect son may be pretty serious about this drumming lark
He's just spent half an hour trying to nail the triplet fill into the bridge of Every Rose Has Its Thorn, then made me learn the guitar part so he can play it on the real kit, not the Guitar Hero kit - for another 15 mins :D

And presumably he will also be running a drumming workshop in February? MMMM? [not that I have a drum - goodness me now! Not even 3. Absolutely not]

I put a subtle (!) suggestion for an impromptu (or promptu) drumming circle/workshop in February being as how I would love to further develop my not considerable drumming skills on the Djembe. I go to a drum circle, sometimes, and we do African drumming which is brilliant.
And your son seems to be developing towards being a drumming guru.

Liam Neeson's recently widowed character has a young stepson who really really likes this girl at school. She is returning to the states at Christmas so it is imperative he impress her with his super-coolness at the Christmas concert. He decides that being a musician will be the best option. He chooses the drums and spends hours locked up in his bedroom practising. He plays drums in the concert while the girl sings lead in the big number.
His ploy works.!
Hence your young drummer practising madly for hours...... Yeah?
