For those who were asking...

...yes, it IS easy to give a pill to a cat if you know how.

Allow my glamorous assistant and wife, Anne, with heckling by my son James, to demonstrate, with the aid of the remarkably co-operative Sully.

If you know how and have the practice for the right grip, right angle of head, right aim of pill... ;)

Bravo! (Anne was good too!!!)

:o)

but how did you get the cat into that position

you don't show the time taken to capture the cat, and then get it into that headlock though.

Sully is a complete people junkie with little or no skill at detecting the difference between 'come here and be cuddled' and 'come here, I have a pill to stick down your throat'. In fact, one probably does not even have to perform a summoning charm - merely existing in proximity to Sully may well be sufficient.

My issue is not actually getting a pill down the cat's throat, but managing to clip the claws of a cat. Max can be bullied into getting his claws clipped, but Nazumi fights to the death (preferably mine, in his eyes) and the most I can ever manage to clip at a time is 2 claws, usually only one, and then I have to wait at least a week before trying again. Any suggestions from the very wise?

I'd check behind the fridge if I were you. Cats have the ability to selectively upchuck pills at will.

That cat's CGI!

And I'd be able to see that if I only had QuickTime on any of my available PCs... [WISTFUL] *g*

But I believe you anyway. My sister is much the same. She used to be much in demand at the cat sanctuary in Cyprus as being the only person who could catch *any* cat and administer ear drops.
