Anne and James got home around 1:30am.
James went to sleep.
The phone rang at 2.25am. J from Anne's work, who Doesn't Do Large Animal Work, and was on call, with a calving in Bourne (half an hour away) for her to deal with.
James, of course, woke up five minutes later *wry grin* so I brought him in with me. Anne got back around 4am (apparently the problem was figuring out which of the three legs belonged with which of the two heads, and persuading the right head to come out first) and James woke again at 5 and then slept through till 8:15.
He's been fine today, thank goodness.
