1)Total number of books owned?
Erm...
About 15' x floor-to-ceiling shelving in the library, plus two bookcases in the office. And then a few.
2) The last book I bought?
"Tail End Charlies" by Tony Rennell & John Nichol, a history of RAF Bomber Command in the last couple of years of WW2.
3) The last book I read?
See above (for once, I bought it and read it, rather than putting it on my to-read pile).
4) Five books that mean a lot to me?
Mm. In no particular order:
5) Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their LJs:

4) Five books that mean a lot to me?
Mm. In no particular order:
- Gael Baudino, "Gossamer Axe": fantasy and rock'n'roll - what's not to like?
- C.J.Cherryh, "Exile's Gate" (from the Morgaine series): a classic study of two characters who don't communicate
- Samuel Graham, "Fleetwood Mac: The Authorized Biography: not the most definitive biography, and only covers through to the making of Rumours, but it turned me on to the whole history of the band, and it has several iconic pictures amongst its illustrations
- Jim Lovell with Jeffrey Kluger, "Apollo 13: Lost Moon": Apollo 8 & 13 astronaut Jim Lovell has always been a hero of mine.
- Dorothy Dunnett, "The Game Of Kings": the first book in the superb
lymond Chronicles (I blame
la_marquise_de_!)
