US/UK price stupidity

VAT will soak up a chunk of the difference, and it gets charged on the P&P too, but it still looks worthwhile.

And it'll be a very nice 80mm-equivalent on a digital.

I'm trying to remember which of the British PC magazines has a report on the price differences. Rip-off Britain seems alive and well.

It's the price + shipping (and insurance if any), then customs on that total, then VAT on the lot. You pay tax on the tax...

Unless, of course, you buy it over there and bring it in when you come back, in which case it's below the personal allowance threshold...
