Well, the BBQ hasn't been cancelled...

...yet.

England lead by 40 runs, with a day (98 overs) to go. The weather at the Oval looks set to be fine for a goodly chunk of the day, according to MetCheck's Test Match page, so it's *possible* we'll be able to safely predict a result by around tea (3.10).

Equally, given the madness that is this series, it might go down to the wire. In fact, it probably will.

Watch this space, or listen to Radio 4 long wave, Five Live Extra (if you have DAB), the streaming audio from the BBC, or text commentary from The Cricket Site (which is where I'll be, cause in the absence of anyone else free, I'm doing the commentary!)

I'm enjoying your commentary, and passing on some of the comments to the office...

Interesting choice of advert in the sidebar, isn't it.

And it's going to need some unusual cricket to get anything other than a draw...

And what are the chances of unusual cricket in *this* series?

Ah...

Since you're here, I'm sure it will be singable to the tune of "Waltzing Matilda".

Is that unusual enough?
