We went for a walk, and I took the new camera (on the theory that the secret of good photography is having a camera with you). This and a few others are on my Flickr page.

[For what it's worth, here's the details:
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
Exposure: 1/200th
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 45 mm (using the standard 18-55mm zoom)

Slightly under exposed and warmed up in iPhoto before uploading]

Those are very, very nice. The first time I took pictures with an SLR (35mm) was in October, on a bright sunny day. Fantastic lighting.

I was drooling over your depth of field on some of the closeups. Then I came back and saw which camera you were using. Of course you can get depth of field like that on a digital camera if you've got an SLR. :)

Don't get me wrong... a camera is still only as good as the eye on the person holding it. But good cameras do help. :)
