We went for a walk, and I took the new camera (on the theory that the secret of good photography is having a camera with you). This and a few others are on my Flickr page.
[For what it's worth, here's the details:
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
Exposure: 1/200th
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 45 mm (using the standard 18-55mm zoom)
Slightly under exposed and warmed up in iPhoto before uploading]

Date: 2005-10-24 09:04 pm (UTC)I am going to have to get my film scanner running. Using available light, I was able to get one or two images which look as though they'll respond well to Photoshop and extreme post-processing -- very strong shadows from the stage lighting.

Date: 2005-10-25 02:57 pm (UTC)Gig on Saturday, and I'd like to be able to hand someone a camera with GOOD low light capabilities. 50mm at f.1.8 is pretty much 3 and a bit stops from 55mm @ f5.8. Basically means I can run the camera at ISO400 indoors, with a bit of luck.
