When you have a two-year-old, life is full of little victories.

Sometimes, they're not so little. Today, James used the potty.

Because he needed to.
Unassisted and unprompted.
Twice.

For an encore, he climbed into the cot when asked. This is, no doubt, a precursor to figuring out how to climb OUT at 3am, but hey....

Congratulations! Simon had no interest in the potty for a long time. In the end it was mostly his idea, and he picked it up quickly. I do know that on the next child, I'm not even going to introduce the idea of Pull-ups.
