Spent a little while over the last couple of days testing out the new zoom lens - results are in my 'Lens Test' Flickr set tagged with '78215mm'.

Rather pleased, on the whole. These were managed with Adobe Lightroom, which is also quite a nice new toy for photo management.

I think for 'serious' work I might switch to RAW, rather than JPG, for all it uses up memory cards faster.

If you've got the capability, raw does have its advantages. If you can afford a couple of 1gb cards, though, you should be all set. ;)

I certainly love my 1gb card, and I'm using JPG (and AVI) for quick snap-shots of the baby. It was worth every penny.

2: I suppose you could always go home the Peterborough and dump them to your computer.

3: Those Kodak machines that seem to be at every branch of Boots can copy the pics to a CD, at a price...
