A conversation or two with British Telecom.

Remember the fun we had with BT when we moved in?

Problems:

• My ADSL line doesn't get used for voice calls except in emergencies. They have just updated it to BT Together, at an extra charge of £1 a quarter. For a line which I made £0.04 worth of voice calls on last quarter;
  
• I'm still getting two bills, one for the ADSL line and one for the Residential ISDN2e that handles my voice calls, despite asking twice for the two bills to be combined;
  
• I asked for three number MSN on the ISDN, one for work, one for home and one for spare/fax - the other day, I tried dialing it. And got an answer from a complete stranger. And the charge for the third number seems to have dropped off the bill;
  
• Around the beginning of the year, our phone system died. BT traced this to a dead pair from the hole in the ground to our house, and swapped it to what was, apparently, the last pair in the group. Since then, we've been getting a lot of calls disconnected after 3-5 mins.
