I am a walking Moleskine advert

Started on the train, finished at lunchtime.
I blame
telynor, if nothing else 'cause I bought a fountain pen before finishing this.
Something In The Back Of My Mind
Words: Mike Whitaker
Tune: to come, probably a piano ballad
Another stupid boring day, of mindless office work
Just typing, shorthand, filing, and my boss is still a jerk
So later on, my friends and I will take the bus to town
And go drinking, flirting, dancing - make them laugh and play the clown:
I walk back from the bus stop
Unsteady on my feet
Find a wall to lean on
And my heart just skips a beat
Must be some kind of wind up, or a drunken stupid lie
I don't know why I bother with this pointless job I do
I'm just a temp from Chiswick, nothing special, it is true
Some day I'll land a husband
Some day I'd hope to meet
A lawyer.. no, a doctor
Who would sweep me off my feet
And sometimes, me and grandad
We'll watch the stars a while
He seems so sad and thoughtful
Though I try and make him smile
I blame

Find a wall to lean on
And my heart just skips a beat
As I look up to the skies,My friends all have this nonsense tale of starships in the sky
There is something in the back of my mind
There's a feeling that nags at me
Of something that I left far behind
It's tugging at my memory
Like a half-forgotten kiss
And I wonder if there ought to be
More to life than this
Must be some kind of wind up, or a drunken stupid lie
I don't know why I bother with this pointless job I do

(trust me to concentrate on the important stuff!)
