Has anyone else noticed....
Jun. 9th, 2009 12:07 pm3 months ago: diesel, 100.9/litre, petrol 91.9/litre
Today: diesel STILL 100.9/l, petrol 98.9/l
It's been stealthily creeping up a penny at a time over the last few weeks.
I wouldn't care, but my clapped out old wreck of a Vectra's a petrol-engined model.

Date: 2009-06-09 11:17 am (UTC)Probably different depending on location (prices often are, the difference is as well). I'll need to check the local petrol prices again, normally I just look at them, swear at the difference, and forget the exact numbers (because my car is diesel)...

Date: 2009-06-09 03:19 pm (UTC)And the Ka has been stalling less and travelling further on a tank since I happened to switch from filling up at Tesco to filling up at the Shell garage near the Park and Ride. It might just be coincidence, but for the moment I'm prepared to go on paying the slightly higher Shell price - especially as it's right next to my normal commuting route, and Tesco is a bit out of my way.

Date: 2009-06-09 01:04 pm (UTC)Particularly painful as I traded in my diesel Corsa (which ran on used chip fat) for the petrol Vectra.
Pah! A pox on fuel prices!

Date: 2009-06-10 02:21 pm (UTC)You pay $2.75 per (8 x 16 oz pint) gallon.
So that's 44.7p / litre.
And you complain??? :D :D :D
