A friend on uk.music.guitar is going into the luthiery business. See http://www.arrowheadguitars.co.uk/ - he's (hopefully) just landed a 'preferred repairer' deal with one of his local music shops, too. I'm really pleased for him, 'cause it's something he's really wanted to do, and I've played his first guitar, and while it's not to my taste as a guitar, the construction quality is undeniable.

I'm going to send him my doubleneck to get the neck binding replaced - this is also the guy who reckons he can make me a copy of Lindsey Buckingham's Turner for about 700 quid. If I hadn't spent so much on gear this past year...
