Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite t.v show

Cheating slightly, but... Babylon 5/'s War Without End parts 1 and 2.

AKA how to do time travel properly. Also featuring the ever-entertaining Zathras, and a massive reveal that certainly caused serious 'oh wow' moments. Epic.

"Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite t.v show"

Being a B5 fan(atic) myself, I'm going to be very interested in what you pick for that one.

Well, in terms of "worst" it's probably got to be a toss-up between "Infection" and "Grey 17 is Missing" (complete with the priceless sequence where Garibaldi stuffs multiple bullets into a steam pipe and the steam sets them off - successively from the top downwards!). Hm, I'm sure there's another turkey or two but time has temporarily erased them from my memory - whether that means they were not quite as terrible or even worse I'm not sure.

But in terms of "least favourite" I might be tempted by "Late Delivery from Avalon" which just made me cringe. A few great lines, but sadly outweighed for me by the cringe factor.

You make a good distinction between the technically bad and those that actively annoy.

My cringes are frequently triggered by ethical lessons applied with a large mallet while nominally disguised as some form of art. B5 went that direction with "Deathwalker", "Believers", "Geometry of Shadows" and probably a couple more that aren't immediately coming to mind.

Sadly I think my biggest active annoyance with B5 - the propagation of the ludicrous Coventry myth - is actually in one of its best "oh wow" episodes as we finally learn about the Shadows.

(There wasn't actually anything terribly unusual about the Coventry raid - an industrial town somewhere in Britain was being bombed every couple of night - Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Derby, Manchester, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bristol etc. And in fact (see RV Jones classic Most Secret War) the Enigma decodes did quite often allow them to deduce where the raid was going to be *and* they once tried to rush AA guns to that city. But evacuate an entire city every couple of days? Totally ridiculous on both practical and morale grounds.
