1) How did your love for guitarplaying start?
2) How did you meet and come to love Anne?

5) What do you see as your greatest weakness and your greatest strength? Why?
1) How did your love for guitarplaying start?
I don't honestly remember. My parents bought me a kid's ukelele when I was about 5 (tiny thing tuned ADBG), and when I was about 9 I asked for a guitar for Christmas, and in all honesty I cannot remember why I did. I had lessons for about a term at school, and then didn't touch it for ages, till I was about 16.
2) How did you meet and come to love Anne?
She was treasurer of the Cambridge University Mah-Jongg Society in my first year, and my first memory is of being tapped on the shoulder by this bright and slightly pushy blonde and asked 'have you paid yet?'. As the saying goes, I've been paying ever since :)
3) What do you enjoy most about filk?
Getting to invent guitar parts on the fly to songs I haven't heard before with other great musicians.
4) Name a song that makes you cry, one that uplifts you and one that makes you dance.
Cry? The finale to Les Miserables. Every damn time.
Uplifts? Anthem, from the musical Chess.
Dance? Just about any good 50's and 60's rock'n'roll. Which, at most of the parties I get dragged to with a disco, means a medley of stuff like Mony Mony, Summertime Blues, Great Balls of Fire...
5) What do you see as your greatest weakness and your greatest strength? Why?
Weakness? For perfectly obvious reasons, I trust, the fact that my personal time management stinks :)
Strength? The fact that I rarely panic, and am capable of saying 'oh well. It's done, there's nothing I can do about it, so getting myself all screwed up over it is counterproductive', whatever 'it' is. My wife isn't, so it's a good job one of us is.
