... an item of stage costume for the band.

Anne is looking for a maroon/purple sparkly spaghetti-strapped, fairly low cut top in a UK size 12 (to go under a jacket, and long enough not to display midriff)). Not having much luck so far. Should anyone spot such an item while clothes shopping either now or in the January sales, could they let me know where and how much?

Don't know what the fabric stores are like there but a tube top is probably one of the dead easiest things to sew. You might have better luck perusing the "weddings/ proms" section of a decent fabric store. I bet guyelfkin can help you... Good luck!
