Meme from [livejournal.com profile] pbristow: "Assuming your neighbors are out of town and you wanna crank it up to 11 and dance around the house in your underwear, whats the top 5 tunes you'd rattle the siding off of the house with?

Note that these are subject to change at a whim:

Jim Steinman, "Out Of The Frying Pan (And Into The Fire)", off "Bad For Good". This absolutely wipes the floor with the total wimpout of a version on "Bat Out Of Hell II".

Mountain, "Nantucket Sleigh Ride (To Owen Coffin", off "Twin Peaks (Live)". 30+ minutes, and the coolest riff on the planet. Learn who Owen Coffin is, too - it's quite the story.

Rainbow, "Catch the Rainbow", from "Rainbow: On Stage". Crank it. Wait for the lovely quiet bit of noodling from Mr. Blackmore in the middle, and watch the cat jump out of its skin as Cozy Powel cuts loose with the drum fill from Hell to bring the band back in.

Guns and Roses, "November Rain", off (I think) "Use Your Illusion". Axl Rose can be a complete prat sometimes, but the playout on this is a thing of joy: that lead line from Slash is a peach.

Fleetwood Mac, "Rhiannon", off the Wallingford '76 live bootleg. If you've only ever heard the studio version, you have NOT lived. Hot enough to strip paint. Small wonder Stevie Nicks wrecked her voice by the middle of the '77 tour.
