Return Of The King

Finally got to see it this afternoon, in the company of
bardling,
djbp, and non-LJing friends.
Wow.
I choked up at that first, long, utterly unbelievable shot of Minas Tirith, and Gandalf's headlong ride up the streets. Just utterly utterly right.
And the "oh WOW" moment was that moment of impact between the charging Rohirrim and Sauron's army on the Pelennor Fields, when the bad guys are literally swept away in about a second and a half... Awesome.
