I remember some of the far reaching effects of the disaster caused by the dust cloud. Places in England were affected, I can remember sheep farmers having to move their herds because the grass was contaminated and being unable to sell their sheep.
It is a very sobering thought that if the wind had been blowing in the other direction the western world might never have heard of the disaster at all.
